Cannon L. Hearne, Associate

Cannon Hearne is a Tampa-native and a second-generation attorney who joined Mechanik Nuccio as an associate in 2023 as a part of the Environmental Practice Group. In 2020, Cannon graduated with a Geology undergraduate from the University of South Florida School of Geosciences, where he developed a background in chemistry, hydrogeology, hydrology, sedimentology and sediment composition, and Geochemistry. After graduating from USF, Cannon began his legal studies at Stetson University College of Law. While at Stetson, Cannon focused his studies on Environmental, Land Use, and Florida Administrative Law. Since entering the legal profession, Cannon has worked intensively in helping clients successfully purchase and redevelop contaminated land via the Florida Brownfields Program.

Prior to entering the legal profession, Cannon was a participant in environmental groups throughout Florida including the Southwest Florida Association of Environmental Professionals (from which he attended and completed a certification in Wetlands Delineation, Plant Identification, and Hydric Soils), the Tampa Bay Association of Environmental Professionals, the Florida Brownfields Association, and the Geology Alumni Society.

Cannon lives in Lutz Florida with his wife Kaitlin, son Ellis, rescue cats Sage & Tucker, and their rescue dog Crow.
